1. MST-1 is conducted from Unit-1, MST-2 is conducted from Unit-2, and the End Term Examination is conducted from Unit-1, Unit-2, and Unit-3 together. Two MSTs are conducted for theory subjects and one MST is conducted for practical subjects. However, the department may change the assessment model after approval from the competent authorities.

2. The HoDs/Academic Coordinator/Administrative Coordinator can be approached for enquiries related to the question paper pattern.

In general, MST weightage is 20% of the total marks. The final weightage of MSTs may depend on the assessment model prepared by the academic departments and approved by Academic Affairs. The HoDs/Academic Coordinator/Administrative Coordinator can be approached for enquiries related to the assessment model and element weightage.

If an MST examination is missed, the student is marked absent.

Students require 75% attendance to appear in the examination of a subject for which attendance is the only eligibility criterion. However, it is recommended that students maintain 100% attendance.

The student must attend the summer term (summer classes of the subject with the prescribed fee + summer term examination with the prescribed fee) conducted in June–July.

The End Term Examinations for the odd semester are held in November and December. The End Term Examinations for the even semester are held in May and June. For exact details, students should check the academic calendar and date sheet when released.

The HoDs/Academic Coordinator/Administrative Coordinator can be approached for enquiries related to Lab MST as per the examination calendar.

The final date sheet is released at least 15 days before the start of the examination and is displayed in the Date Sheet tab on UIMS.

Students are advised not to bring bags and other materials during MSTs/ESTs. As per rules, bags are to be stacked outside the examination blocks within the visibility range of surveillance cameras.

A student is not allowed to appear for the MST if he/she is detained before the MST examinations.
