Mr. Rahul has over 10 years of experience as Project Manager in Scrum Master, Shara Inc. USA. He had conducted the session on the Introduction to FIGMA, that is an open UI/UX tool. Figma is a cloud-based design and prototyping tool used for user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design. It allows designers and design teams to collaborate on creating web and mobile app interfaces, as well as other digital designs, in real-time. Expert Lecture on “Data Science – A New Era”

The objective of the course to introduce the participants about the basics of statistical analysis concepts and data characteristics, to learn the programming concepts using open source language like python, to enable the participants to do Data cleansing and Data Analytics using open source programming languages and to apply data analytics on freely available datasets.
The Content of the lecture includes Introduction to Data Science and Data Mining, Free and Open Source Tools for data Science, Data Mining Algorithms for Data Analytics using WEKA, Benchmark Datasets, and Reading Data from External Sources. Expert Talk On Android Development

University Institute of Computing conducted a lecture on Android on 5th March, 2020 by the experts Mr. Gagan Sawhney, IT Manager, and Ms. Sakshi, Android Developer to provide the basic knowledge to the students of UIC. They delivered the lecture about the Current trends of Android development and its advantages and disadvantages. They briefed the students about the types of validation, basic hardware and software requirements for android development. They provided insights about Android development. They explained them app architecture, app components and app resources. They not only explained it analytically but also demonstrated by creating an app with the students. Even the students got a chance to experiment with their coding skills on Android Studio. To enhance their skills an app development competition was declared. In this the students had to design the user interface of the app.

Expert Talk On Hackinh And Security

University Institute of Computing conducted an Expert talk on Hacking and Security on 6th March,2020 by the expert Mr. Rajesh Rana, Cyber Analyst (Stellar Data Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mohali) to provide the basic knowledge to the students UIC about the hacking and security.
The guest speaker started with introduction of hacking, its importance and simple measures an individual can take to prevent his/her data from getting hacked. Then, he briefly explained about frauds, the reason they occur, and the ways in which we can check whether our data has been leaked or not. This was followed by a demonstration of a SQL injection attack over different sites. The session ended with a brief explanation on virtualization, and a live demonstration of hacking a mobile phone using virtual box, the required commands and the terminal.

Expert Talk On Digital Holography

An expert talk on digital Holography was organized on 8th August,2019 by the expert, Dr. Alexander Khmaladze, who has received his PhD degree from University of South Florida, where he has developed and assembled a dual wavelength digital holographic microscope (DHM), which he used in various imaging projects and live cell studies. He has post doctorial experience from the chemistry department of the University of Michigan. At the University of Michigan, he has developed and build a multiplex CARS imaging system which was used to rapidly acquire and process hyper spectral images of live cells. He enlightened the students of UIC with his great work in this field.

UIC organized Expert Talk on “Machine Learning” by Mr. Manav Singal (Chief Executive Officer, Audertec Solutions, Chandigarh) and Mr. Kunal(Data Scientist, Audertec Solutions, Chandigarh) at Block-11 level-2 Room No. 201 on 14th August,2019. Delivering this lecture gave exposure to the students about Machine Learning/Deep Learning Framework. Students get to know about (1) supervised learning (generative/discriminative learning, parametric/nonparametric learning, neural networks, and support vector machines); (2) unsupervised learning (clustering, dimensionality reduction, kernel methods); (3) learning theory (bias/variance tradeoffs; VC theory; large margins); and (4) reinforcement learning and adaptive control

UIC organized Expert Talk on “Industry 4.0” by Mr. Ankush Sharma (Managing Director, Innovative Technologies, Phagwara) and Ms. Shivani Sharma(SAP Consultant, Innovative Technologies, Phagwara) gave lecture on “Industry 4.0” at Block-11 level-2 Room No. 205 on 6th September, 2019. Delivering this lecture gave exposure to the students about Indusry 4.0 Framework. Industry 4.0 is the subset of the fourth industrial revolution that concerns industry. Students get to know about the fourth industrial revolution encompasses areas which are not normally classified as industry, such as smart cities for instance. Big data analytics consists of 6Cs in the integrated Industry 4.0 and cyber physical systems environment.

Workshop On Web Development

University Institute of Computing organized a workshop on web development using Laravel on 20th January, 2020 for the students of BCA, BSc (Comp. Sci.) & MCA. Being a web designer or a web developer. But either way, worked on the design of the site, or the code that made it work.
As the Web has grown more complex and as more becomes possible on the Internet, developers have gotten more specialized. That means that web development now means lot of different things depending on what a web developer specializes in. Here are the two main categories: front end development (the visible parts of a website or app), back end development (the “under the hood” databases and infrastructure). Laravel framework is applied for development of web sites. The workshop was all about to make students hands on practice on dynamic web pages and understand what each of the web developer specialties.

UIC organized a workshop on “Microsoft Azure” presented by Dr. Manisha Malhotra, Head (Academic unit-2), Chandigarh University. This workshop was held at Block-11 Level-1 Lab No. 101 on 20th January, 2020. The agenda of the delivered workshop was to learn about Cloud Service Provider (Microsoft Azure) so that they can know about the latest technology. While delivering the workshop they discussed about Cloud Computing, how it works, what are the services, why cloud is better. Apart from it they showed a demonstration on how to deploy a website on Microsoft Azure. The Outcome of this workshop is that students practically learned the concept of Cloud Computing and its Services. While delivering the workshop they influenced the students to learn the Latest Trends in Technology. At the end of workshop speakers shared learning materials and certifications on Cloud Computing, students interacted with them and give them the positive feedback related to the Workshop.

Club Activity (Workshop On Android Hacking)

University Institute of Computing organized a workshop on “Android Hacking” presented by Rishav, a student of BCA. This workshop was held at Block-11Level-1 Lab No. 102 on 18th Feb, 2020.
While delivering the workshop they discussed about the concept of Android Hacking using Termux and the related information about them. In Android Hacking event they performed the task to share the storage, standard directories , traditional location for pictures, Termux legacy environment where they demonstrated the students about the Termux types and how to use the commands for Hacking and handles the student’s interactions and doubts.

Club Activity (Hands On Logo Designing)

University Institute of Computing organizes Hands on “Logo Designing” by Mr. Abhishek, Student UIC on 26th Feb, 2020.
As the market strategies has grown more complex and as more becomes possible on the Internet, businesses have gotten more specialized. A Logo is a symbol or other small design adopted by an organization to identify its products, uniform, vehicles, etc. The software that is used for designing Logo was Adobe Illustrator. While delivering the workshop Mr. Abhishek shared principles and process to design a Logo. He also explains the techniques to design logo and the usage of Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor developed and marketed by Adobe Inc. Students learnt to use the tools of Adobe Illustrator and designed a logo of Google.

University Institute of Computing organized a workshop on application development using Android for the students of BCA, BSc (Comp. Sci.) & MCA on 28th Feb, 2020.
As the Web has grown more complex and as more becomes possible on the Internet, developers have gotten more specialized. That means that application development now means a lot of different things depending on what a developer specializes in. In the workshop contents delivered on the structure, layouts, user interface control (used for display, enter), how to move from one activity to another activity. Android is applied for development of activity.

UIC organized a workshop on “Amazon Web Services” presented by Mr. Jalaj Arora, AIT, Chandigarh University on 5th March, 2020.
The agenda of the delivered workshop was to learn about Cloud Service Provider (Amazon Web Services)so that they can know about the latest technology. While delivering the workshop they discussed about Cloud Computing, how it works, what are the services, why cloud is better. Apart from it they showed a presentation of the various corporate which are currently using Amazon web services. They also made the students learn about how the user requests are fulfilled by a cloud server and where the AWS data centers are located all over the world. The Outcome of this workshop is that students practically learned the concept of Cloud Computing and its Services using AWS and also differentiated Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. While delivering the workshop they influenced the students to learn the Latest Trends in Technology. University Institute of Computing organized a Webinar in collaboration with Red Hat on “Python in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning “presented by Mr. Chanchal Bose & Mr. Biswajeet Panda on 29th March, 2020. The agenda of the delivered webinar was to learn about Python in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning so that they can know about the latest technology trends. While delivering the webinar they discussed about how python is being used in AI and ML nowadays, how it works, what are their applications and services, why it is used. Apart from it they showed a presentation on the machine learning and its types and various applications of machine learning. They also made the students learn about all the modules available in the data science and also made the students understand the applications of machine learning in the real time problems. The Outcome of this webinar is that students practically learned the concept of Machine Learning and its Applications using Artificial Intelligence. While delivering the webinar they influenced the students to learn the Latest Machine Learning Trends in Technology. University Institute of Computing organized a workshop on “Hack the box” presented by Rishav Kumar, a studnet of BCA 1st year and Chirag Khanna of MCA on 13th OCT, 2019.
Delivering Workshop by students gave exposure of getting knowledge related to breaking security passwords. While delivering the workshop they discussed about the concept Cryptography and Steganography. Apart from it the presenter gave demonstration on how to break window password and also discussed tools on Cryptography and Steganography. University Institute of Computing organized a workshop on “Bug Bounty Hunting” presented by Chirag Khanna of MCA and Navjeet Rathore of BSc (CS) on 14th January, 2020.
While delivering the workshop they discussed about the concept of Bugs and the related information about them. In bug bounty event they performed the task of adding various bugs on a webpage / website where they demonstrated the students about the bugs types and how to find bugs on a live site and handled the student’s interactions and doubts.
